Job Description

Join Deliveroo as a Last-Mile Bike Courier and become an essential part of our delivery network in Reading. This role offers flexible hours, allowing you to fit work around your life. As a courier, you’ll be responsible for picking up food and grocery orders from our partner establishments and delivering them efficiently and courteously to customers within your designated delivery zone. Key Responsibilities

  • Pick up food and grocery orders from various restaurants and stores promptly.
  • Deliver orders safely and efficiently to customers' doorsteps within the given timeframes.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism.
  • Handle food and goods with care to ensure quality upon delivery.
  • Use the Deliveroo app to manage orders, navigate routes, and communicate with customers and support.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
  • Represent Deliveroo positively in the community.

Required Skills

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Own a smartphone (iOS or Android) with data access.
  • Have a roadworthy bicycle (electric bikes welcome).
  • Possess valid Right to Work in the UK.
  • Excellent navigational skills and familiarity with Reading's local streets.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in delivery or customer service roles is a plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
  • A valid UK driving license (for potential future opportunities or if considering a scooter/motorcycle option later).
