Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Digital Archivist with a strong focus on historical data to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for the systematic acquisition, organization, preservation, and accessibility of digital historical records and assets. You will work to ensure the long-term integrity and discoverability of Concentrix’s valuable historical data, contributing to our knowledge management and corporate memory. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the US.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital archival strategies for historical data, including born-digital and digitized materials.
- Manage the full lifecycle of digital records, from ingest to preservation and access.
- Apply metadata standards (e.g., Dublin Core, MODS) to enhance discoverability and contextual understanding of historical assets.
- Perform quality control checks on digitized materials and digital reproductions.
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards related to digital preservation and access.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to maintain and improve digital archiving systems and infrastructure.
- Provide expertise and support for research inquiries related to historical data.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures for digital asset management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in digital archiving or records management, with a focus on historical or cultural heritage data.
- Strong understanding of archival principles, digital preservation best practices, and metadata standards.
- Proficiency with digital asset management systems (DAMS) or equivalent archival software.
- Familiarity with various digital file formats and their preservation challenges.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Library Science, Archival Studies, Information Science, or a related field.
- Experience with specific digital forensics tools or data recovery.
- Project management experience in archival or digitization projects.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data manipulation or automation.
- Certification in archival or records management (e.g., CRM, CA).
