Job Description

Are you physically fit, reliable, and looking for a rewarding role with weekly pay? DFS is seeking enthusiastic Delivery Offsiders to join our busy team in Plymouth. This vital role involves assisting our experienced delivery drivers with the safe and efficient transportation and placement of furniture directly into our customers’ homes. You will be responsible for handling heavy items, navigating various residential environments, and ensuring a positive customer experience from start to finish. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the delivery driver with loading and unloading furniture from the delivery vehicle.
  • Safely transport heavy furniture items into customers' homes, often navigating stairs and tight spaces.
  • Handle furniture with care to prevent damage during transit and installation.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including clear communication and a polite, professional demeanor.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and company procedures.
  • Assist with basic assembly of furniture items as required.
  • Accurately complete delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and report any issues promptly.

  • Ability to perform heavy manual handling and lift heavy items safely.
  • Excellent physical stamina and fitness.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
