Job Description
Are you an avid gamer with boundless energy and a keen eye for detail? Electronic Arts is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team as a Morning Shift Playtester. This role is perfect for early risers who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are ready to contribute to the creation of world-class games. You’ll be playing upcoming titles, identifying bugs, and providing critical feedback to our development teams, all while ensuring your work is done by 2 PM daily. This is an on-site role that demands focus, communication, and a genuine passion for gaming.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily playtest plans and test cases with precision and efficiency.
- Identify, document, and report bugs, glitches, and design flaws using internal bug-tracking software.
- Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback on gameplay, mechanics, and user experience.
- Collaborate actively with development teams, designers, and other QA testers.
- Ensure all assigned testing tasks are completed accurately and on schedule by 2 PM daily.
- Maintain a high level of focus and energy throughout the morning shift.
- Adhere to all company guidelines regarding confidentiality and intellectual property.
Required Skills
- Proven passion for video games across multiple genres and platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain high energy and focus for the duration of the shift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in quality assurance or game testing (professional or volunteer).
- Familiarity with bug-tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Knowledge of various gaming consoles, PC gaming, and mobile platforms.
- Basic understanding of game development cycles and terminology.
- Relevant certifications in game design or quality assurance.
