Job Description
Are you a motivated and responsible 15-year-old looking for your first job experience in a supportive and community-focused environment? Huntington Beach Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to join our team. This entry-level position is perfect for teens eager to learn the importance of cleanliness, organization, and teamwork in a healthcare setting. You will play a vital role in ensuring our residents have fresh, clean linens and personal items, contributing directly to their comfort and well-being. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, towels, and residents' personal clothing.
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, including industrial washers and dryers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and storage areas.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to supervisor.
- Follow all facility policies and procedures regarding infection control and safety.
- Assist with other duties as assigned to support the healthcare team.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and push laundry carts.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Must be 15 years old and have valid work permit as required by state law.
