Job Description
Are you a student looking for a flexible weekend job with immediate cash payouts? The Home Depot in Milwaukee is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Weekend Student Yard Laborers to join our outdoor team. This part-time role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, are physically active, and are looking to earn extra income on Saturdays and Sundays. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining the appearance and functionality of our outdoor garden center and yard areas, ensuring a great experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles, including heavy and bulky items.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the outdoor garden center and lumber yard.
- Water plants, sweep pathways, and keep aisles clear of debris.
- Help with stocking and organizing outdoor merchandise, including plants, soil, and building materials.
- Operate basic equipment like dollies, carts, and pallet jacks (training provided).
- Support store associates with general yard duties as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, landscaping, or outdoor labor environment.
- Familiarity with garden tools and equipment.
- Customer service experience.
