Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Level 1 IT Technical Support Specialist to join our remote team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues related to the Pinterest platform and associated tools. This is a crucial role for ensuring a seamless user experience and maintaining our high standards of service. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve a variety of technical problems, escalating more complex issues to higher-level support when necessary. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere within the specified region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt and professional Level 1 technical support via chat, email, and ticketing systems for Pinterest users and internal stakeholders.
- Diagnose and resolve common technical issues including account access, platform functionality, basic network connectivity, and software application support.
- Document all support interactions, resolutions, and escalations in a clear and concise manner within the ticketing system.
- Guide users through step-by-step solutions and provide clear instructions for self-service options.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to Level 2 support or appropriate internal teams with comprehensive issue details.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a knowledge base for common issues and their resolutions.
- Monitor system health and performance, reporting any widespread issues to relevant teams.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
Required Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-centric approach.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer troubleshooting (Windows, macOS, mobile operating systems).
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving platform features.
- Basic understanding of internet browsers, web applications, and social media platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification.
- Previous experience in a remote customer support or technical helpdesk role.
- Familiarity with the Pinterest platform as a user or content creator.
- Experience with Google Workspace (G Suite) applications.
