Job Description
Are you a motivated student looking for a flexible part-time role in a positive and energetic environment? Planet Fitness in Wesley Chapel is seeking a Part-time Student Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our gym. This role is perfect for someone with excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a desire to contribute to a healthy community. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing membership inquiries, and supporting the daily operations of the front desk.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet members and guests with a positive and welcoming attitude
- Check members into the facility efficiently and accurately
- Answer phone calls, direct inquiries, and provide general information about the gym
- Assist members with membership sign-ups, cancellations, and account updates
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and lobby
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Process retail sales of Planet Fitness merchandise
- Address member concerns and resolve issues professionally
- Support club staff with various administrative tasks as needed
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all members
Required Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program
- Prior experience in a customer service or front desk role (e.g., retail, hospitality)
- Interest in health and fitness
