Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Online AI Language Specialist to join our remote team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance of Google’s AI products and services. You will be responsible for evaluating and improving language models, performing data annotation, and providing linguistic expertise to ensure our AI systems communicate effectively and naturally. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking AI development from anywhere. We offer a bilingual bonus for proficiency in an additional language beyond English.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and rate the quality, accuracy, and relevance of AI-generated language outputs across various Google products.
- Perform detailed linguistic analysis and data annotation to train and fine-tune AI models.
- Identify and document linguistic nuances, cultural contexts, and potential biases in AI language.
- Provide constructive feedback and insights to AI engineers and product teams on language performance.
- Ensure adherence to specific linguistic guidelines and quality standards.
- Participate in calibration sessions and ongoing training to maintain high-quality work.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of linguistic resources and guidelines.
- Manage workload effectively and meet performance metrics in a remote work environment.
Required Skills
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) at a native or near-native level.
- Strong understanding of linguistic principles, grammar, syntax, and semantics.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Linguistics, English, Communications, or a related field.
- Proficiency in an additional language (beyond English) is highly preferred and qualifies for a bilingual bonus.
- Previous experience in data annotation, localization, translation, or linguistic quality assurance.
- Familiarity with AI, machine learning concepts, or natural language processing (NLP).
- Experience working with large datasets and performing detailed analysis.
