Job Description
Join the BrightView team as a Garden Maintenance Offsider and play a vital role in keeping outdoor spaces pristine. This hands-on, outdoor position involves working alongside experienced professionals to perform a variety of landscaping tasks. You’ll be involved in everything from mowing and edging to general garden upkeep, contributing directly to the beauty and health of our clients’ properties. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, are physically active, and are eager to learn and grow within the landscaping industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in mowing lawns using various equipment (walk-behind, ride-on mowers).
- Perform precision edging around garden beds, pathways, and other defined areas.
- Operate trimmers, blowers, and other landscape maintenance tools safely and efficiently.
- Participate in general garden tidying, including weeding, raking, and debris removal.
- Load and unload equipment and materials from vehicles.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and vehicles.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of landscape maintenance principles.
- Ability to operate common landscaping equipment or willingness to learn.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscaping or general labor.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of plant identification and basic horticultural practices.
