Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMV) to transport goods to various destinations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of freight, adhering to scheduled routes and timelines.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Handle freight with care, ensuring secure loading and unloading.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Clean driving record.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move freight as required (up to 50 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited truck driving school.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- High school diploma or GED.
