Job Description

Join Atrium Health as a Facility Support Worker, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. This essential position involves performing various cleaning and organizational tasks across our facilities, ensuring high standards of hygiene and presentation. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal in assigned areas.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, patient rooms, offices, and common areas in accordance with established health and safety protocols.
  • Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Organize and maintain supply closets and storage areas.
  • Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate needs to supervisors.
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment immediately.
  • Adhere to all Atrium Health policies and procedures, including infection control guidelines.
  • Assist with setting up and taking down for events or special functions as needed.
  • Ensure all work areas are left in a clean and orderly condition at the end of each shift.

Required Skills

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Reliable and punctual work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a custodial, housekeeping, or facilities support role, particularly in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with hospital-grade cleaning products and equipment.
  • High school diploma or GED.
