Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nanny to join a loving family in Schaumburg. This full-time position is ideal for an individual passionate about child development, safety, and creating a supportive environment. The role involves comprehensive childcare for two children (ages 3 and 6), including educational activities, meal preparation, transportation, and light household tasks related to the children. A generous sign-on bonus will be provided for candidates committed to a long-term engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging and age-appropriate activities that foster cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
- Assist with school pick-ups and drop-offs, and transport to extracurricular activities.
- Help with homework and school projects.
- Maintain children's play areas and bedrooms, including tidying up and organizing toys.
- Communicate regularly with parents about the children's progress and daily activities.
- Plan and execute fun outings and educational excursions.
- Adhere to the family's established routines and guidelines.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional nanny or childcare experience with verifiable references.
- Demonstrated passion for working with children and fostering their growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Clean background check and driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification (current or willing to obtain immediately).
- Early childhood education (ECE) coursework or degree.
- Experience with specific age groups (e.g., preschool, early elementary).
- Ability to swim.
- Light housekeeping skills pertaining to children's areas.
