Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium to join our dynamic team in Salt Lake City, UT. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge software products. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test cases, working closely with development and product teams. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java/Python.
- Implement and enhance automation frameworks to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, manual QA) to understand project requirements and define test strategies.
- Perform thorough testing of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure the quality and maintainability of automation scripts.
- Contribute to the improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in software testing and automation.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage and high quality of releases.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in QA automation with a strong focus on Selenium WebDriver.
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, Python, C#).
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, PyTest).
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Understanding of BDD/TDD principles and tools (e.g., Cucumber, Gherkin).
