Job Description

Walmart is seeking enthusiastic and responsible young individuals to join our team as Security Marshalls in Winston-Salem, NC. This entry-level role is perfect for teens who are eager to learn, contribute to a safe environment, and develop valuable skills. As a Security Marshall, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure and friendly shopping experience for our customers and a safe working environment for our associates. You will primarily focus on proactive observation, customer assistance, and deterring potential issues, working under the guidance of experienced security personnel. No prior experience is necessary; we provide comprehensive training!
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively observe store premises to identify and report any suspicious activities or potential safety hazards.
- Greet customers and offer assistance, contributing to a positive and secure shopping atmosphere.
- Provide visible deterrence to shoplifting and other security incidents.
- Assist with customer inquiries and direct them to appropriate departments or personnel.
- Report incidents and observations accurately and promptly to senior security staff or management.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety and security.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance safety and security knowledge and skills.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while on duty.
Required Skills
- Must be 17 years of age.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in various situations.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or completed high school/GED equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of first aid or willingness to learn.
- Previous experience in customer service or a similar public-facing role (not required, but a plus).
