Job Description
We are seeking reliable and experienced Agricultural Haulers for our upcoming seasonal harvest operations in the Pasco region. This is a crucial role responsible for the safe and efficient transport of various agricultural products, including fresh fruit, from farms to our processing and packing facilities. This position requires operating heavy-duty trucks over regional routes, adhering strictly to safety regulations, and maintaining vehicle integrity. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport agricultural products across designated regional routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Monitor vehicle performance and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Load and unload agricultural products using appropriate handling techniques, ensuring product integrity.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving activities, mileage, and product manifests.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with farm managers, dispatchers, and packing facility personnel.
- Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as harvest demands require.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no major violations for the past 3 years
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical examination
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and climb regularly
- Reliability and punctuality, especially during peak harvest seasons
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience hauling agricultural commodities or oversized loads
- Knowledge of local Pasco and surrounding regional road networks
- Mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle troubleshooting
- High school diploma or equivalent
