Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI Infrastructure Support Analyst with a strong networking focus to join our dynamic team in San Jose, CA. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our cutting-edge AI and machine learning infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on the network components supporting our AI clusters, data pipelines, and research environments. You will troubleshoot complex networking issues, implement best practices for network reliability, and collaborate with AI engineers and data scientists to optimize their compute resources. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support for network infrastructure supporting AI/ML platforms, including troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of complex network issues.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and optimal performance for AI workloads.
- Configure, maintain, and upgrade network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers within the AI infrastructure.
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and data scientists to understand their network requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs.
- Implement and enforce network security policies and best practices to protect sensitive AI data and models.
- Automate network tasks and monitoring using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to improve efficiency and responsiveness.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical AI infrastructure network issues.
- Document network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and operational best practices.
- Stay current with the latest networking technologies, AI infrastructure trends, and security threats.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in network administration and support in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, and firewall technologies.
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools and methodologies (e.g., Wireshark, traceroute, syslog analysis).
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
- Experience with scripting for network automation (Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with data center networking principles and technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE).
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts and infrastructure components (e.g., GPUs, distributed computing).
- Experience with network virtualization and software-defined networking (SDN).
- Knowledge of network security best practices and tools.
