Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Fleet Logistics Specialist with a strong focus on autonomous technologies to join our team. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing the logistics of our autonomous vehicle fleet, ensuring seamless operations, timely deployment, and efficient resource allocation. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Apple’s autonomous initiatives through strategic logistics planning and execution, all from a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic logistics plans for Apple's autonomous vehicle fleet, including deployment, maintenance, and recovery operations.
- Optimize fleet utilization, scheduling, and routing to maximize efficiency and support autonomous technology development objectives.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to understand technical requirements and integrate them into logistics strategies.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and vendors, ensuring compliance with Apple's quality and operational standards.
- Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement, implement solutions, and report on key performance indicators.
- Ensure all fleet operations comply with local and international regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Develop and maintain documentation for logistics processes and procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in fleet management or logistics, specifically with autonomous vehicles or advanced technological assets.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and logistics optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau) for performance tracking and decision-making.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical or business discipline.
- Experience with global logistics operations and international shipping regulations.
- Familiarity with Apple's product ecosystem and internal tools.
- PMP or other relevant project management certifications.
- Direct experience with autonomous driving technologies or advanced robotics.
