Job Description
We are seeking a highly meticulous and dedicated Audiobook Data Transcriber to join our remote team. This is a crucial role responsible for accurately converting spoken audio from audiobooks into written text, ensuring the highest level of detail and fidelity to the original content. You will play a vital part in maintaining the quality and accessibility of our extensive audiobook library. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities
- Listen to audiobook recordings carefully and transcribe all spoken content accurately into text format.
- Identify and properly tag speakers, sound effects, and other non-speech elements as per internal guidelines.
- Review and proofread transcribed text for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and adherence to style guides.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all content and company information.
- Manage workload efficiently to meet daily and weekly transcription deadlines.
- Collaborate with content quality teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Utilize transcription software and tools effectively to optimize workflow.
Required Skills
- Exceptional listening comprehension and attention to detail.
- Native-level proficiency in English (US English grammar, spelling, and punctuation).
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
- Proficiency with standard computer software and ability to learn new transcription tools quickly.
