Job Description
Join the CVS Health team as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and play a vital role in patient care. As a CPhT, you will work closely with pharmacists to ensure the accurate and efficient dispensing of prescriptions, provide excellent customer service, and maintain pharmacy operations in a fast-paced retail environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Process prescription orders, including data entry, labeling, and preparation for dispensing.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and resolving issues.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Handle insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workstation.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Operate pharmacy computer systems and other equipment effectively.
Required Skills
- Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through PTCB or NHA.
- Current Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure in the state of Texas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and pharmacy software.
- Commitment to patient privacy and HIPAA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting.
- Experience with pharmacy automation systems.
- Knowledge of third-party insurance billing and reimbursement procedures.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
