Job Description

Join the CVS Health team as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and play a vital role in patient care. As a CPhT, you will work closely with pharmacists to ensure the accurate and efficient dispensing of prescriptions, provide excellent customer service, and maintain pharmacy operations in a fast-paced retail environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Process prescription orders, including data entry, labeling, and preparation for dispensing.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications.
  • Handle insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workstation.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Operate pharmacy computer systems and other equipment effectively.

Required Skills

  • Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through PTCB or NHA.
  • Current Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and pharmacy software.
  • Commitment to patient privacy and HIPAA regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting.
  • Experience with pharmacy automation systems.
  • Knowledge of third-party insurance billing and reimbursement procedures.
  • Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
