Job Description
Join Coach USA as a Charter Coach Driver and embark on exciting national tours across the United States! This role involves transporting groups for extended periods, ensuring their comfort, safety, and timely arrival at various destinations. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a charter coach for long-distance national tours, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring vehicle is in optimal working condition.
- Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage and provide courteous customer service.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, mileage reports, and all necessary trip documentation.
- Manage tour schedules efficiently, making timely arrivals and departures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, tour guides, and passengers regarding travel plans and potential delays.
- Handle unexpected situations or emergencies professionally and according to protocol.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the coach interior and exterior.
- Represent Coach USA with professionalism and a positive attitude at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Minimum of 3 years (36 months) of verifiable commercial driving experience, preferably with a motorcoach.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no disqualifying incidents.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to navigate using GPS and read maps effectively.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Familiarity with major routes and attractions across the USA.
- Mechanical aptitude for minor on-road repairs.
- Bi-lingual abilities (Spanish a plus).
