Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable individual for the role of Spa Laundry Support. This position is vital to the smooth operation of our spa, focusing entirely on routine laundry tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing, sorting, and maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of all spa linens, towels, and robes. This role involves no direct guest interaction, allowing you to focus on efficient and thorough laundry management. Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold all spa linens, towels, and robes according to established procedures.
- Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor laundry supply levels and report needs to supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area.
- Inspect items for damage or stains and report as necessary.
- Ensure timely processing of laundry to support spa operations.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts of linens as requested.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Attention to detail to ensure quality and cleanliness of laundered items.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic understanding of laundry processes and equipment operation.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a commercial laundry setting, preferably within a hospitality or spa environment.
- Familiarity with various types of fabrics and appropriate washing methods.
- Knowledge of basic cleaning chemicals and safety precautions.
