Job Description

Join The Home Depot team as a Click-Laminate Flooring Assistant! This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to learn a valuable trade and support our professional flooring installers. You will work alongside experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of click-laminate flooring installation, from preparation and material handling to assisting with the final laying of planks. If you are reliable, hardworking, and ready to contribute to high-quality craftsmanship, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist professional installers with the preparation of work sites, including clearing furniture and removing existing flooring.
  • Handle and transport click-laminate planks, underlayment, and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Help measure and cut flooring materials accurately under supervision.
  • Support the installation process by passing tools, preparing surfaces, and securing materials.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the work area throughout the project and upon completion.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines on every job site.
  • Communicate effectively with lead installers and team members to ensure smooth project execution.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools or a willingness to learn quickly.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a construction, labor, or home improvement setting.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience with flooring materials or installation is a plus, but not required.
