Job Description
M&M Construction Company is seeking a motivated and hardworking Deck Sanding Helper to join our team. This is an entry-level manual labor position perfect for individuals eager to learn the fundamentals of construction and deck maintenance. You will play a crucial role in preparing and finishing wooden decks, ensuring a smooth and high-quality surface for further treatment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. No prior experience is required; we provide on-the-job training.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced team members in the preparation of decks for sanding.
- Operate hand and power sanding tools under supervision to achieve desired surface finishes.
- Clean and clear work areas before, during, and after sanding operations.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Perform other manual labor duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Physical stamina and endurance for prolonged standing, bending, and kneeling.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a general labor or construction environment is a plus, but not required.
