Job Description
Join our team as a dedicated Delivery Service Provider. This role guarantees a minimum of 40 hours per week, with ample opportunity for overtime, ensuring consistent work and reliable income. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering packages to customers in the Huntsville area. You’ll operate a company-provided vehicle, follow designated routes, and interact professionally with customers. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided delivery vehicle to transport packages.
- Deliver a high volume of packages to residential and commercial customers daily.
- Navigate various routes using a hand-held device and GPS technology.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Sort and load packages onto the delivery vehicle according to sequence.
- Provide excellent customer service, including friendly interactions and problem-solving.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring safe delivery and proper placement.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet delivery goals.
Required Skills
- Valid US Driver's License (non-CDL is acceptable).
- Clean driving record for the past 3 years.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to get in and out of a vehicle frequently throughout the day.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Capable of working in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery, transportation, or a related field.
- Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
