Job Description
Are you a passionate gamer with a keen eye for detail and a desire to kickstart your career in the video game industry? BioWare, a studio of Electronic Arts, is looking for a Junior Quality Analyst to join our dedicated team working on the acclaimed Dragon Age franchise. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to contribute to the quality assurance of one of the most beloved RPG series. Key Responsibilities
- Execute detailed test plans and test cases to identify bugs and usability issues.
- Document and report defects clearly and concisely using issue tracking software.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
- Collaborate effectively with development, design, and other QA teams.
- Provide qualitative feedback on game features, balance, and overall player experience.
- Learn and apply various testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Dragon Age lore and gameplay mechanics.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated passion for video games, especially RPGs and the Dragon Age series.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with standard office software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some prior experience in a QA role, even in a non-gaming context.
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Understanding of basic QA methodologies and software development lifecycles.
- Experience playing various Dragon Age titles across different platforms.
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Game Design).
