Job Description

Are you a passionate gamer with a keen eye for detail and a desire to kickstart your career in the video game industry? BioWare, a studio of Electronic Arts, is looking for a Junior Quality Analyst to join our dedicated team working on the acclaimed Dragon Age franchise. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute detailed test plans and test cases to identify bugs and usability issues.
  • Document and report defects clearly and concisely using issue tracking software.
  • Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
  • Collaborate effectively with development, design, and other QA teams.
  • Provide qualitative feedback on game features, balance, and overall player experience.
  • Learn and apply various testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Dragon Age lore and gameplay mechanics.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated passion for video games, especially RPGs and the Dragon Age series.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with standard office software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some prior experience in a QA role, even in a non-gaming context.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Understanding of basic QA methodologies and software development lifecycles.
  • Experience playing various Dragon Age titles across different platforms.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Game Design).
