Join the dynamic world of esports as an Esports Tournament Cable Helper! Activision Blizzard is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to assist in the setup and teardown of state-of-the-art gaming arenas for our premier esports events. This entry-level role is perfect for someone looking to get hands-on experience in the live event production and esports industry. You will be responsible for meticulously organizing, laying, and connecting power, network, and audio/video cables, ensuring a flawless technical foundation for our tournaments. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the precise layout and installation of various cables (power, ethernet, fiber optic, HDMI, USB, audio) across tournament stages, player areas, and production booths.
- Perform cable management, including bundling, labeling, and securing cables to maintain a professional and safe environment.
- Work collaboratively with technical directors, stage managers, and other crew members to meet setup deadlines.
- Conduct basic testing of connections to ensure functionality and troubleshoot minor issues under supervision.
- Assist with the teardown and packing of equipment, ensuring all cables are properly coiled, stored, and accounted for.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the event lifecycle.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines during setup and breakdown operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work diligently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in event production.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
