Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious FedEx Certified Forklift Driver to join our dynamic team in Burbank, California. Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials and products, specifically FedEx freight.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and complete necessary documentation.
- Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests or invoices.
- Stack and organize materials in designated warehouse locations to maximize space and accessibility.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and FedEx handling guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, assisting with general warehouse upkeep.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding inventory status and operational issues.
- Participate in inventory counts and help resolve discrepancies as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid and current FedEx Forklift Certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and reaching.
- Strong understanding and commitment to workplace safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory scanning technology.
- Familiarity with FedEx shipping and receiving protocols and documentation.
- Previous experience in a logistics or transportation industry setting.
