Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload packages from trucks and conveyor belts.
- Sort packages by destination, ensuring accurate placement.
- Scan packages and update tracking information using handheld devices.
- Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs (with assistance for heavier items).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or physical labor role (even informal).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
