Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior dispatchers in preparing and reviewing flight plans, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
- Monitor weather conditions, NOTAMs, and other operational information, identifying potential impacts on flight safety and efficiency.
- Learn to analyze aircraft performance data and fuel requirements for various flight segments.
- Communicate effectively with flight crews, air traffic control, and ground operations personnel.
- Support in resolving operational disruptions, such as diversions, delays, or cancellations, under supervision.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all flight-related activities.
- Actively participate in training programs and continuous learning initiatives to develop expertise in flight dispatch.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Possession of a valid FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Strong geographical knowledge and understanding of aviation terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Science, or a related field.
