Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and adaptable Registered Nurses to join our dynamic Float Pool at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. This unique opportunity allows you to gain diverse clinical experience across various units, including Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, ICU, and Emergency Services, while benefiting from an increased base pay. As a Float Pool Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, utilizing your critical thinking and clinical expertise to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, across multiple specialties.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, lab results, and diagnostic tests, initiating appropriate interventions.
- Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians, other nurses, and ancillary staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring patient rights and preferences are respected.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to work in various clinical settings and with different patient populations.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and patient care demands.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Specialty certifications (e.g., PCCN, CCRN, CEN).
- Experience in multiple acute care specialties (e.g., Med-Surg, Telemetry, ICU, ED).
