Job Description

We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Foley Artist to join our dynamic sound design team in New Port Richey, FL. The successful candidate will be instrumental in crafting immersive auditory experiences for film and television projects, bringing characters and environments to life through meticulously recorded everyday sounds. This role requires a keen ear for detail, a strong understanding of cinematic storytelling, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced production pipeline. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and record foley elements (footsteps, props, cloth, etc.) in sync with picture for film and television productions.
  • Interpret and execute sound design directives from directors, sound supervisors, and editors.
  • Source and maintain a diverse library of props and materials for foley performances.
  • Collaborate with the sound editing team to ensure seamless integration of foley into the overall sound mix.
  • Utilize various microphones, recording equipment, and digital audio workstations (DAWs) to capture high-quality audio.
  • Manage time effectively to meet strict project deadlines and deliverables.
  • Continuously experiment with new techniques and approaches to foley artistry.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Foley Artist in film or television.
  • Demonstrated expertise in recording and editing foley for various genres.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools).
  • Strong understanding of microphone techniques and audio recording principles.
  • Exceptional ear for detail, rhythm, and timing.
  • Ability to perform a wide range of convincing sounds using common objects and body movements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Film Production, Music Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) or sound effects design.
  • Familiarity with various post-production workflows and asset management systems.
  • A portfolio or reel showcasing diverse foley work.
