Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Google Fleet Logistics specialist with a strong focus on autonomous technology. In this remote role, you will play a crucial part in optimizing the operational efficiency and logistical flow of Waymo’s autonomous vehicle fleet. You will leverage data-driven insights to manage fleet deployment, maintenance schedules, and route optimization, ensuring our self-driving vehicles operate seamlessly and safely. This role requires a keen understanding of logistical challenges, an analytical mindset, and a passion for cutting-edge autonomous technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust logistical strategies for the efficient deployment and management of autonomous vehicle fleets.
- Monitor real-time fleet performance data, identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks related to autonomous driving systems.
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to schedule vehicle maintenance, software updates, and hardware upgrades.
- Analyze fleet utilization, route efficiency, and service reliability to propose data-backed improvements.
- Manage inventory and supply chain for vehicle components and autonomous system parts.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and internal protocols for autonomous vehicle operations.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on fleet performance, operational costs, and key logistical metrics.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics tools and autonomous fleet management systems.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, fleet management, or operations, preferably within a technology-driven environment.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
- Familiarity with autonomous driving technologies, vehicle telematics, and fleet management software.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with GIS software and mapping tools for route optimization.
- PMP or other project management certification.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks surrounding autonomous vehicles.
