Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Hospital Porters to join our team in Cheltenham. This vital role involves supporting the smooth operation of our hospital, ensuring patients, equipment, and medical supplies are transported safely and efficiently. You will play a crucial part in maintaining a clean and organised environment, contributing directly to the comfort and care of our patients. Key Responsibilities
- Transport patients safely and comfortably between wards, departments, and other areas of the hospital.
- Move medical equipment, beds, furniture, and supplies as required, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Deliver laboratory specimens, blood products, and pharmacy items efficiently.
- Assist with the transfer of deceased patients to the mortuary, handling with dignity and respect.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of trolleys, wheelchairs, and other portering equipment.
- Respond to urgent requests and emergencies promptly and professionally.
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safeguarding.
- Monitor stock levels of linens and other supplies in designated areas.
