IKEA is seeking an IKEA PAX Wardrobe Specialist – a true Master of the Closet – to join our team in Vallejo. In this role, you will be the go-to expert for all things PAX, guiding customers through the design process, ensuring precise assembly, and helping them create their dream wardrobe solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultation to customers on IKEA PAX wardrobe systems, including design, functionality, and customization options.
- Utilize IKEA's planning tools to create personalized wardrobe designs that meet customer needs and space requirements.
- Accurately measure spaces and provide recommendations for optimal PAX configurations.
- Professionally assemble and install IKEA PAX wardrobe systems in customers' homes, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the design or assembly process, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Educate customers on product care, maintenance, and warranty information.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all PAX components, accessories, and new product releases.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with IKEA PAX wardrobe systems or similar modular furniture assembly and installation.
- Strong spatial reasoning and ability to interpret detailed assembly instructions and design plans.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete projects.
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy furniture components.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail environment, particularly in home furnishings or interior design.
- Familiarity with IKEA's product range and design principles.
- Experience using 3D planning software or similar design tools.
- A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation (if role involves home visits).
