Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Cybersecurity Analyst with an interest in Artificial Intelligence to join our innovative and fast-paced security team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about cybersecurity and eager to apply AI/ML concepts to detect and mitigate evolving threats. You will contribute to monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, while also supporting the development of AI-driven security solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring security alerts and incidents generated by various security tools and platforms.
- Perform initial triage and analysis of security events to determine potential threats and impact.
- Support incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Contribute to the development, testing, and improvement of AI/ML-driven security detection and prevention mechanisms.
- Analyze large datasets to identify security threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging attack patterns.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and engineering teams to refine security processes and tools.
- Document security incidents, procedures, and analysis findings thoroughly.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and AI advancements.
- Participate in security awareness training and contribute to fostering a security-first culture.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, common attack vectors, and defense strategies.
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Exposure to scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and data analysis.
- Fundamental knowledge of AI/Machine Learning concepts and their potential applications in cybersecurity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, remote team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or project experience in a cybersecurity role.
- Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Google Cybersecurity Certificate.
- Understanding of cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and penetration testing methodologies.
