Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and driven Junior Music Producer to join our dynamic team in San Jose. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior producers in the creation, editing, and mixing of audio content for various tech products and platforms.
- Contribute to sound design, foley, and musical composition for user interfaces, marketing materials, and internal projects.
- Manage and organize audio assets, ensuring proper tagging, version control, and adherence to project standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and product managers, to integrate audio elements seamlessly.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on audio output, identifying and resolving technical and creative issues.
- Research and experiment with new production techniques, software, and hardware to enhance workflow and output quality.
- Provide creative input and suggestions during brainstorming sessions for new features and projects.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one major Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, or Pro Tools.
- Strong understanding of music theory, composition, and audio engineering principles (mixing, mastering, sound design).
- Familiarity with various audio formats, codecs, and their applications.
- Basic knowledge of audio post-production techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A portfolio demonstrating original music production or sound design work.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and workflows quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music Production, Audio Engineering, Sound Design, or a related field.
- Experience with scripting or basic programming (e.g., Python, Max/MSP) for audio tools.
- Knowledge of modern synthesis techniques and sound design for user interfaces (UI) or games.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) for audio assets.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
