Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled and safety-conscious Oil Field Drivers to join our dynamic team in Pasco, Washington. This critical role involves the safe and efficient transportation of equipment, materials, and potentially hazardous substances to and from oil field locations across various terrains. Due to the demanding and high-risk nature of the work, this position comes with competitive high hazard pay and operates on a structured rotation schedule, ensuring both challenge and reward for dedicated individuals. Candidates must possess an unwavering commitment to safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and excellent driving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate various heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks, tankers, and specialized oilfield equipment, safely and efficiently.
  • Transport a wide range of materials, such as drilling fluids, chemicals, water, and equipment, to and from oil field sites, often navigating challenging and unpaved roads.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, promptly identifying and reporting any defects or malfunctions.
  • Ensure all loads are properly secured, balanced, and comply with all weight distribution regulations.
  • Strictly adhere to all company safety policies, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Complete and maintain accurate logbooks, delivery tickets, manifests, and other required documentation.
  • Actively participate in mandatory safety meetings and training sessions to maintain a high level of safety awareness and proficiency.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with dispatch, field supervisors, and other team members regarding routes, schedules, and any unforeseen issues.
  • Assist with the safe loading and unloading of materials as needed, following established procedures.
  • Represent Halliburton professionally and courteously in all interactions.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements.
  • Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience, with a strong preference for experience in oilfield, construction, or heavy industrial settings.
  • Clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Report – MVR) for the past 3-5 years.
  • Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations, federal and state transportation laws, and occupational safety protocols.
  • Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing, stooping, bending, and working in diverse weather conditions.
  • Willingness and availability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, on a rotational schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience operating specialized oilfield equipment such as vacuum trucks, flatbeds carrying oversized loads, or specific well-servicing vehicles.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and other in-cab technology.
