Job Description
Deloitte is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Records Management Specialist to support a critical Federal Agency project in Philadelphia. This role focuses on the efficient and secure management of both physical and electronic records, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and agency policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of records lifecycle management, and the ability to work effectively within a structured government environment. Experience with digital content platforms, particularly those with high volumes of visual or multimedia content, will be a significant advantage, relating to the “Pinterest” aspect of the title (implying visual content management, though it’s likely a misnomer in the prompt for a federal agency role, we interpret it as managing diverse digital assets including visual ones).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain physical and electronic records in accordance with federal regulations (e.g., NARA, FOIA) and agency guidelines.
- Implement and monitor records retention schedules, disposition, and archival processes.
- Assist in developing and updating records management policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Conduct records audits and assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide support for Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA) requests, including searching for and retrieving responsive records.
- Utilize and manage electronic records management systems (ERMS) and other digital platforms for information governance.
- Support the digitization of physical records and integration into digital repositories.
- Collaborate with agency staff to promote best practices in records creation, use, and maintenance.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in records management, preferably within a federal government or highly regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of federal records management regulations (e.g., NARA, FOIA, PA).
- Proficiency with Electronic Records Management Systems (ERMS) and database management.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Library Science, Archival Studies, or a related field.
- Certification in Records Management (CRM) or similar professional certification.
- Experience with visual content management or digital asset management systems (DAMs).
- Knowledge of current trends and technologies in digital records preservation.
- Previous consulting experience in a government sector.
Perks & Benefits
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.
- 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
- Paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
- Professional development and continuing education opportunities.
- Life and disability insurance.
- Employee assistance program.
- Access to a global network of professionals and industry leaders.
