Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Reach Truck Driver to join our dynamic team in Wakefield. This is a fantastic opportunity for stable, full-time employment with ample opportunities for overtime. As a Reach Truck Driver, you will be crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient movement and storage of goods. We value safety, precision, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a Reach Truck safely and efficiently to load, unload, stack, and move products and materials.
  • Perform daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any defects or concerns.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management by scanning and locating items correctly.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as required, including picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Required Skills

  • Valid and accredited Reach Truck (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT, NPORS) license.
  • Minimum of 12 months recent experience operating a Reach Truck in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift moderately heavy items when required.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Additional Forklift Truck (FLT) licenses (e.g., Counterbalance).
  • First Aid certification.
  • Experience in a similar logistics or distribution environment.
