Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shopify Specialist with a strong focus on Inventory and Logistics to join our growing e-commerce team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Shopify platform to ensure efficient inventory control, streamlined order fulfillment, and robust logistics operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate product inventory levels within the Shopify platform, ensuring real-time synchronization with physical stock.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover, minimize stockouts, and reduce overstock situations.
  • Oversee the end-to-end order fulfillment process, from order reception to shipment, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and third-party logistics (3PL) partners to ensure timely and cost-effective shipping and delivery.
  • Manage shipping profiles, rates, and integrations within Shopify and other related shipping software.
  • Handle returns and exchanges processes, ensuring a smooth customer experience and accurate inventory adjustments.
  • Generate and analyze reports on inventory performance, order fulfillment metrics, and logistics costs, providing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to align inventory and logistics with promotional activities and customer expectations.
  • Identify and troubleshoot any Shopify platform issues related to inventory, orders, or shipping, working with technical teams as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with Shopify updates, apps, and best practices relevant to inventory and logistics management.

Required Skills

  • Proven proficiency with the Shopify platform, including its backend administration, apps, and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Experience with e-commerce logistics, shipping, and fulfillment processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, E-commerce, or a related field.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Familiarity with various shipping carriers and their integration methods.
  • Project management experience, particularly in e-commerce or logistics initiatives.
  • Knowledge of other e-commerce platforms or marketplaces.
