Job Description
Join The Home Depot team as a Student Yard Worker! This part-time role offers flexible hours, making it perfect for students seeking manual labor experience and immediate cash payouts. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our outdoor receiving and yard areas, assisting with various tasks to ensure a smooth operation. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store's outdoor areas, including the garden center and receiving yard.
- Assist with moving and organizing inventory, such as lumber, masonry, and bulk garden supplies.
- Help customers load purchases into their vehicles when needed.
- Collect and organize shopping carts from parking lots and store perimeter.
- Perform general manual labor tasks as assigned by supervisors.
- Ensure a safe and tidy work environment by promptly addressing spills and hazards.
- Support the team with various ad-hoc tasks to ensure efficient store operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in an outdoor environment, exposed to various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or manual labor environment (not required, but a plus).
