Job Description

Home Instead in Burlington, Vermont, is looking for compassionate and reliable individuals to join our team as Home Caregivers. This is a truly rewarding opportunity to provide non-medical companionship and assistance to seniors in their homes. No prior experience in caregiving is necessary; we provide comprehensive training to ensure you are confident and capable in your role. We value your life experience and believe that your empathy, patience, and warmth are the most important qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and engaging conversation to clients.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, tidying, and meal preparation.
- Run errands and assist with grocery shopping.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer transportation to appointments and social outings.
- Document care provided and report any changes in the client's condition.
- Foster a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients.
