Job Description

Are you a hands-on learner eager to kickstart a career in IT? We’re looking for enthusiastic Technical Offsiders to join our field teams across various regions in and around Saltaire, West Yorkshire. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals with little to no prior IT experience who are keen to learn on the job. You will work alongside experienced technicians, gaining invaluable practical skills in network installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. If you’re practical, customer-focused, and ready for a challenge, this opportunity with BT Group will provide the foundation for a successful career in telecommunications and IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior technicians with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure and IT equipment.
  • Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues under supervision, ranging from connectivity problems to hardware malfunctions.
  • Support field operations by preparing tools, equipment, and documentation for various projects.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards during all on-site activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment used, and customer interactions.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers, providing clear updates and support.
  • Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills and product knowledge.
