Job Description

The University of South Florida is seeking a dedicated and culturally aware University Receptionist to join our administrative team in Wesley Chapel. This role is crucial as the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, playing a pivotal role in shaping our academic culture and welcoming environment. You will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support, managing communications, and ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk, all while embodying the values of a leading educational institution. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact, greeting and assisting all visitors with professionalism and a positive demeanor.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing inquiries to the appropriate departments or individuals.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized reception area, ensuring a welcoming first impression.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and room bookings as required.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, copying, and preparing documents.
  • Support the coordination of academic and cultural events by assisting with logistics and attendee registration.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and packages efficiently.
  • Uphold university policies and procedures, ensuring a secure and respectful environment.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive academic culture through respectful interactions and proactive support.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
