Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented UPS Documentation Clerk with an Engineering focus to join our remote team. This crucial role involves managing, organizing, and maintaining technical documentation related to our engineering projects and operational systems. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance of all engineering-related documents, supporting various departments from a 100% remote work setting. You will play a key part in the smooth flow of information essential for our engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, classify, and maintain a comprehensive system for engineering drawings, schematics, reports, and other technical documents.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to established company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and version control.
- Facilitate document retrieval and distribution to authorized personnel upon request.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to capture, update, and archive project documentation throughout its lifecycle.
- Assist in implementing and improving document management processes and systems.
- Conduct regular audits of documentation to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Provide administrative support for engineering projects as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in document management or administrative support roles, preferably within an engineering or technical environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with document management systems (DMS) or electronic content management (ECM) software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Basic understanding of engineering terminology and documentation types.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certification in a relevant field (e.g., Office Administration, Information Management, Technical Communication).
- Experience with SharePoint or other collaborative platforms.
- Familiarity with CAD software for viewing (no editing required) engineering drawings.
