Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Warehouse Concierge to join our high-end retail distribution team in Baltimore. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and quality of our luxury merchandise from receipt to dispatch. The Warehouse Concierge will be responsible for precise inventory handling, quality control inspections, and ensuring that all products are prepared for shipment with the utmost care, reflecting Nordstrom’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. You will be a vital link in delivering a premium experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspection of incoming high-end merchandise for quality, accuracy, and condition.
- Carefully handle, store, and organize luxury goods within the warehouse environment, adhering to strict organizational standards.
- Execute precise order fulfillment, ensuring correct items and quantities are selected for customer orders.
- Expertly package high-value items, utilizing appropriate materials and techniques to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through meticulous scanning and data entry using warehouse management systems.
- Collaborate with logistics and customer service teams to resolve any discrepancies or special handling requests.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment, upholding all safety protocols.
- Assist in periodic inventory counts and audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently as required (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the distribution center.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in task execution.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system navigation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or retail environment, especially with high-value goods.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
- Experience with luxury goods handling or quality control procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
