Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Weekend Personal Trainer Assistant to join our team in East Montgomery. This part-time role is crucial for ensuring our gym’s personal training areas are perfectly set up and maintained, ready for our members and trainers. You’ll play a vital role in preparing equipment, organizing spaces, and providing general support to our personal training staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation during peak weekend hours. This is an excellent opportunity for someone enthusiastic about fitness to gain hands-on experience in a supportive gym environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist personal trainers with equipment setup and breakdown before and after sessions.
- Ensure all personal training areas are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on fitness equipment, reporting any issues.
- Sanitize and store equipment properly after use to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Provide general support to personal trainers and members as needed, including answering basic questions.
- Monitor the training floor to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
- Assist with scheduling and administrative tasks related to personal training services.
- Maintain a positive and welcoming attitude towards all members and staff.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
- Prepare towels, water, and other amenities for client use.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and gym etiquette.
- Reliable and punctual, especially for weekend shifts.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Physical stamina to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Enthusiasm for health and fitness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a gym or customer service setting.
- CPR and AED certification.
- Currently pursuing a degree or certification in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of personal training principles.
