Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, high-energy individual to join our team as a Yoga Front Desk team member. This role is crucial for creating a welcoming and efficient experience for our yoga studio members and visitors, primarily during afternoon and evening shifts. You will be the first point of contact, responsible for studio operations, member inquiries, and fostering a positive environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and check-in yoga studio members and new visitors, providing information on classes and membership options.
  • Handle member inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone.
  • Manage class bookings, cancellations, and waiting lists using our studio management software.
  • Process payments for classes, memberships, and retail items accurately.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area, lobby, and yoga studio space.
  • Assist with retail sales, stocking, and inventory management.
  • Support instructors with class preparation and post-class tidying, ensuring a smooth transition between sessions.
  • Communicate important studio updates and promotions to members.
  • Open and/or close the studio according to established procedures, ensuring security and readiness for the next shift.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a customer service or front desk role, preferably in fitness, hospitality, or retail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • High energy and a proactive attitude, capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work afternoon and evening shifts, and some weekends as required.
  • A genuine interest in health, wellness, and yoga.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with studio management software (e.g., Mindbody, ClassPass).
  • Knowledge of yoga styles, terminology, and studio etiquette.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Residency in or near Cheltenham.
