Job Description
We are seeking a highly professional and empathetic Funeral Limousine Driver to join our dedicated team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing safe, dignified, and timely transportation for our client families, clergy, and funeral directors during funeral services and visitations. This position requires exceptional driving skills, a strong sense of punctuality, and an unwavering commitment to respect and discretion. You will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and comforting experience for those we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate limousines, sedans, and other company vehicles for funeral services, processions, and related duties.
- Transport family members, clergy, and funeral home staff to and from designated locations with utmost care and sensitivity.
- Maintain the cleanliness and pristine condition of all assigned vehicles, performing regular pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Assist passengers with entering and exiting vehicles, offering support and ensuring their comfort.
- Adhere strictly to scheduled timelines and routes, demonstrating punctuality and reliability.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols, ensuring the safety of all passengers.
- Interact with families and guests in a compassionate, respectful, and professional manner.
- Assist with other duties as needed to support funeral home operations, such as setting up and breaking down chapels or assisting with floral arrangements.
Required Skills
- Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major infractions)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a service-oriented role
- Exceptional driving skills, with experience navigating various traffic conditions
- Strong sense of empathy, discretion, and professionalism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as services dictate
- Physical ability to assist passengers and perform light lifting if required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the funeral service industry or luxury transportation sector
- Familiarity with the Santa Ana and Orange County area
- Comfortable working in an environment that requires compassion and sensitivity
